I am thriving on this life at the moment. 

Sometimes the grind of working, mothering (humans and animals!) and creating seems overwhelming but right now the combination is entirely envigorating.  Work is mad crazy right now yet I am energised by knowing that I have five paintings in an art show in Wellington starting tomorrow and that I am gearing up for not only one but two solo exhibitions – all occuring within the next two months! 

 Today I approved the artwork on the invitation for one exhibition and then spent some time contemplating a painting that is currently sitting on my easel.  It is slowly developing into a piece that I am falling in love with – and that feels great.

It would have been easy to put this artistic side of me aside – perhaps to be explored when the children are older or to a time when I have more hours in the day to myself…..but that would have meant a life of wondering and regret.

Life at the moment is crazy yet wonderful.
